Their new album "Sun Structures" debuted last week. I know its only February, but its one of my favorite records to come out this year....although Beck's new album next week will likely top it. But the new album will live up its week of glory with its fun, psychedelic rock that makes you tap both feet. Their vocals sound like transplants from any of the 60's psych bands....also the more recent Tame Impala, but that's alright, they are a genre band and they stick to it. Great tracks include: "Shelter Song", "Keep in the Dark" and "Mesmerise".

Dum Dum Girls
Their earlier album 'I Will Be' was more raw and full of shoe gazing guitars with a splash of 60's pop to it. On their next album 'Only in Dreams' they changed their sound a little bit and it became a little more poppy. With their new album 'Too True', they've evolved even further and have a more clean, dream pop sound, similar to The Cure and Stone Roses. Although there are a few songs that still have the fuzzy, distorted guitar riffs. They actually sound fairly close to their former band mate Frankie Rose, whom I love. They definitely have shifted from the 60's to the 80's. Although I enjoy their earlier work, I think its been a step in the right direction.
Big hits on the album are 'Rimbaud Eyes' and 'Lost Boys and Girls Club', but I also really like the songs 'Evil Blooms' and 'In the Wake Of You' and feel like they deserve some exposure so here they are. Enjoy!

Mac DeMarco
So I really started listening to him about a year ago and his album was a mainstay on my Ipod for several months. His music has a 70's, kind of George Harrison sound to them. He has definitely mastered his own unique sound that stands out from from all of the garage rock and synth pop that's out there right now.
Here is his new single "Passing Out Pieces". The full album "Salad Days" comes out April 1st. The song is a little different then his previous album '2'. With an organ only sprinkled throughout the tracks on the previous album, this particular track its front and center, but still has the DeMarco stamp on it.
Enjoy.
